The midway point of the final season of The Americans was an episode chock full of hard lessons and crossed lines in the sand. Stan’s last assignment came to an unsavory end. Philips last assignment ended in an unexpected way. Paige seems to be playing spy in her own way and seems oblivious to the dangers and potential consequences of her actions, even after Philip showed her that she’s not as mighty as she thinks. And we wonder, is Elizabeth searching for the person inside her who “knows how to see, but you have to put in the time, that’s what time is for”, and will it be too late if she finds her?
